Here's how you can help!
Student Outreach Clubs are designed to be launched and supported by local churches. We hope that every church that launches a club will share the club with other churches in their community, but we've found it usually takes at least one with a passion to get it done to make it work.
No matter what church you are from, we all know kids need Jesus, we all have kids in public school, and we want to help our students to share Jesus with their friends. Many of us think that schools are "off limits" to churches, but that isn't true. There's a lot that churches can do...

Pray for the School
1. Dedicate time in your church services to pray for schools
2. Organize prayer walks at local schools 3. Pray as you drive near school zones (www.prayerzonepartners.com) 4. Start a Moms in Touch prayer group (www.momsinprayer.org) 5. Make sure Christian students know about See You At The Pole (www.syatp.com) 6. Organize Claim Your Campus with other churches in your community (www.claimyourcampus.com) 7. Plan a commissioning service at your church to pray over, encourage, and support Christian teenagers in your church as “missionaries” to their schools. |
Equip Your Students
1) Inspire your teenagers with a vision to reach their school. Challenge them to launch a prayer strategy and an outreach club.
2) Give them resources to help them get started (such as our free campus ministry "how-to" booklet) 3) Allow your youth pastor, or someone on your youth ministry team, to be the "coach" for the club (attending meetings as invited by the students, sharing thoughts and ideas with the students, guiding them toward being outreach-focused, assisting them with logistics as needed Provide Support
1. Buy resources to help students have a successful See You At The Pole (www.syatp.com)
2. Buy Bibles, Gospels of John, or tracts, for students to distribute at school (www.thelifebook.com, www.ibsdirect.com, www.pocketpower.com, www.bookofhope.com, www.atstracts.org). 3. Buy pizzas or other food for the Christian club at school to do outreaches. 4. Help bring school assembly programs to local schools (there are many out there sponsored by Christian ministries – www.feelthepower.org, www.reachyourcity.com, www.thesevenproject.com). 5. Equip Christian teenagers with knowledge of their legal rights on the public school campus (www.aclj.org). |
